BALIK PCGA and RE-ENROLLMENT PROGRAM FINAL EDITION

The Balik PCGA program aims to provide an ultimate and final opportunity for all inactive auxiliarists/ officers to rejoin the PCGA and re-enroll upon proper evaluation and due consideration. The program which will be fully implemented starting the year 2013 will update and finalize the only official roster recognized by the Philippine Coast Guard.

Persons previously inducted into any unit of the PCGA that is officially recognized by both the PCG and PCGA and whose names do not appear in the official roster of Auxiliarists/Officers as published in the PCGA websites are entitled to avail of amnesty and the re-enrollment program.  However, the following are grounds for disqualification:
  • Persons who have been administratively separated/dis-enrolled from PCGA. 
  • Persons convicted by regular courts of a criminal offense involving moral turpitude or any of the crimes enumerated under the Revised Penal Code and other penal laws.
  • Persons who do not possess the qualifications for membership in the PCGA at the time of application for amnesty and re-enrollment.
The BALIK PCGA and Re-Enrollment Final Edition Program will commence on 01 March 2013 and end on 31 March 2013. All application forms together with attachments must be submitted not later than 31 March 2013. 

Qualified persons who failed to avail of the program will be automatically divest of all rights and privileges as an auxiliarists and will be dis-enrolled from the roll of PCGA auxiliarists and officers with prejudice to avail of any other existing mode of re-enrollment.  

Auxiliarists/Officers whose applications to the BALIK PCGA and Re-Enrollment Final Edition Program are approved will be entitled to the following benefits:
  • Re-enrollment to the official PCGA 2013 roster of PCGA auxiliarists/officers upon payment of the 2012 and 2013 annual membership dues
  • Waiver of collection of 2011 and previous years PCGA membership dues
  • Credit of previous active service in the time-in-grade for purposes of rank promotion
  • Retention of the rank during previous active service
  • Exercise of membership privileges

PCGA STRENGTHENS ITS COMMITMENT OF PARTNERSHIP WITH PCG


The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary headed by National Director VADM DANILO G CABALDE PCGA made a courtesy call to the new Philippine Coast Guard Commandant, RADM RODOLFO ISORENA PCG last January 17, 2013 at the PCG Headquarters.

Among the highlights of the briefing include the upcoming 29th National Auxiliary Convention in May, the BALIK- PCGA Final Edition, submission of the 2012 Year-end Report and the PCGA directive request on Communication Flow between the PCG-PCGA Chain of Leadership and Management. Other matters presented include the PCGA’s 2013 Plans and Programs and current activities, such as, the quarterly National Auxiliary Board meetings, technical and leadership trainings and regular District Conferences and Summit Meetings in various Districts and the preparation for the 40th PCGA Anniversary. The Commandant, the National Director and Flag Officers of the PCGA also assisted in the donning ceremony of the newly promoted PCGA officers.

The Commandant supported the PCGA leadership with its vision of developing a more professionalized organization to effectively support the PCG in its functions.

2013 NEW YEAR'S CALL TO THE NEW PCG COMMANDANT

PCGA's New Year's Call to the new Commandant, RADM Rodolfo D Isorena PCG
The Philippine Coast Guard celebrated its traditional New Year’s Call last January 7, 2013 at the PCG Headqurters. The National Director, VADM DANILO G CABALDE, Deputy National Director for Operations, RADM JOSEPH N DY and Deputy National Director for Administration, RADM VALENTIN B PRIETO, led the PCGA National Directorate. Other PCGA officers of the National Directorate were: COMMO FELIX LAZO, COMMO OSCAR T GARCIA, CAPT LINO PATERNO W PADERANGA, CAPT GERONIMO P REYES, CDR ROBERTO DELOS REYES, LT NOEMI ALVARAN AND LT YASH TORIBIO.

All the HPCG DCS staff, PCG Major Commands and their respective staff, the District Commanders and other Special Units of the PCG were also present to call on the Commandant. A Holy Mass was celebrated and blessing of the office of the Commandant. Thereafter, the Commandant welcomed all the callers with a warm “Happy New Year” greeting. 

It marked RADM ISORENA’s first day of his assumption in Office as the New Commandant. The Commandant delivered his New Year’s message with an opening joke and concluding with another joke. Thereafter, the newly promoted PCG officers were formally donned of their shoulder boards by the Flag Officers of the PCG and the Commandant led the Oath of office. After the brief program, breakfast was served.
